We Need Your Help!
One of the key programs for Milpitas High School this year is to focus on helping our students with the greatest need. For this year, the focus is Algebra I. We have come up with a new strategy focused around smaller workgroups in hopes to make a bigger impact. In order to do that, we need your help! We need volunteers to help with the smaller workgroups.
So, if you can donate 2-3 hrs a week on a consistent schedule to help us with this endeavor, please let us know. This would make a huge impact on our students as well as help to improve test scores. And, you can feel that your contribution has made a huge impact on someone's life.
If you have questions, feel free to email us: mhsinfo@milpitaspta.net.
To join us, follow the steps below. We look forward to having you on our TEAM!
Again, THANK YOU for your support!
Volunteer Checklist
As a volunteer, you should be comfortable working with high school students, have a good working knowledge of algebra (or can acquire that quickly), and be willing to spend some time on a consistent basis. We'll hook you with one of our teachers who will let know the specifics that is needed for that session.
The district requires that all volunteers need to be approved. Here's the checklist of what needs to be done:
- Download and fill out the volunteer information form.
- Provide a copy of your drivers license and turn in the form to the principal.
- You'll need to get a tuberculosis (TB) verification.
- You'll need to get fingerprinted.
Once that is completed, the district will send you an approval. Once you have that, contact us and we'll get you in a classroom ASAP.
Again, Thank YOU for your support!
