Department Mission Statement
The goal of Social Studies is to develop and cultivate an awareness of international and national history, political and economic institutions and human and social behaviors. To meet the diverse needs of our students, teachers develope engaging and rigorous learning opportunities, encompassing elements from multiple disciplines. The ultimate outcome is students' becoming active participants in a democratic society.
